Direct messages
Connection-gated DMs so members can stay close to their sponsor and the people who matter most.

"It's weird, but I feel more connected to people I barely talked to before."
— Homegroup member, early testing

Privacy & anonymity
Built for the traditions.

Homegroup is a private tool for your group — not a public directory. Your meeting doesn't appear anywhere outside the app. No one outside your group can see who's in it or what's shared.

No real names required. No photos. Members control what they share. Everything stays inside the group it belongs to.

This is not a social network. It's a private room for people who already know each other.

Cost
Free.
Homegroup is free for meetings getting started now. Groups that join early will be grandfathered when paid plans launch.

Questions
Homegroup doesn't recruit members, promote itself at meetings, or create any public presence for your group. It's a private tool — like a group chat, but purpose-built for recovery. Whether to use it is entirely up to your group conscience.
Members only see content from meetings they've joined. The feed shows messages from other members. Check-ins and recovery tools are opt-in and shared only when a member chooses to share them. There's no public profile, no follower count, nothing visible outside the group.
The join flow is a 6-digit code and a single name field. No email verification, no profile setup, no photo required. Most members are in the app in under two minutes. If they can use a group text, they can use Homegroup.
That depends on the meeting. The groups seeing the most engagement have a champion — usually the person who introduced it — who posts regularly and encourages others. It doesn't replace the meeting. It keeps people connected between them.
Only members of your meeting. The treasury is visible inside your group and nowhere else. Your group's financial information stays private.
The free plan supports up to 25 members and includes everything except in-app video and the full treasury with a debit card. Paid plans are coming — groups that sign up now will be grandfathered at the free tier for as long as they're active.
When you create your meeting, you get a 6-digit join code. Share it at your meeting — write it on a card, text it to your phone list, or announce it. Members download the app, enter the code during signup, and they're in.
